Master of Business Administration commonly known as MBA. It’s a two-year degree program. The course first came into existence in the late 19th century in U.S.A and since then has become the most popular master program all over the world. An MBA degree is thought to be one of the most prestigious in the world.

Students who have completed their bachelor’s degree can apply for MBA. Over a period of 2 years, the course teaches about the various factors that affect a business and how to manage them.  MBA provides an excellent opportunity for students & working professionals to excel in their career.

A regular MBA program is mostly of two years with 4-6 semesters but some institutes also provide one year MBA program. There are three different modes of MBA program- regular, online and distance education. The Executive MBA is designed for working professionals so that they can do this program while working. It is specially designed for professionals to build up their managerial skills.

 

MBA Eligibility and Entrance Exams

MBA eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • The basic requirement to pursue an MBA is graduate in any discipline or equivalent from recognized university.
  • Minimum scores required are 50% on average or equivalent.
  • Final year students are also eligible to apply for MBA program by presenting their proof of completion within the stipulated time.

MBA COURSE WITH SPECIALISATION:

After 1 year of general MBA, students can choose specialization as per their interests.  There are specializations in many fields as there is a huge list of specializations. But most commonly used are Finance, Marketing, Human resource management, operations, international business.

SCOPE

The scope of the MBA program is extensive in the present job market. It is high in demand in every company and organization.   Most of them provide campus placement on completion of the course. All companies, be it a private or government, recruit MBA degree holders in different profiles.
