The Australian National University is a public university located in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, The Acton campus is in the heart of Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. Established by a Federal Act of Parliament in 1946, it is the only Australian university to be established by Federal, as opposed to State or Territory, campus combines the advantages of Australia's capital city with spaces to research, learn, meet and live. ANU includes 7 teaching and research colleges, several focused postgraduate research centres and 3 non-tertiary educational entities. Post Graduate Scholarship
The International Postgraduate Research Scholarships are available for study leading to the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy or to a Master of Philosophy and are funded by the Commonwealth Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research. Duration - Three years full-time, with two possible six month extensions (subject to change by DIISR). Eligibility - Bachelors degree with first-class honours, or a research Masters degree from a recognised university , International Students. Applicants who have applied and been unsuccessful for an IPRS in previous years are ineligible to apply.
